Multi-award-winning country artist Tyler Joe Miller has released the stripped back ballad, “I Know Jack” via MDM Recordings Inc. / Universal Music Canada. Written solely by Miller, and accompanied by a live performance video, the single offers up a unique take on a country drinking song, using ‘Jack’, as a metaphor to symbolize an overarching dependence on vices, whether it be people or substances. In recent months, Miller has been exploring the depth of his artistry and where his music can take both himself and his fans. ‘I Know Jack’ acts as the lead single off his upcoming three-track acoustic EP due for release on May 19.
A Message From Tyler Joe Miller
“’I Know Jack’ isn’t your typical drinking song. I wrote this song years ago, talking about the good and bad sides of alcohol. Alcohol can help you have a great time and give you the motivation to do things you wouldn’t without it; but it can also have the same effect in a negative way. ‘I Know Jack’ is an honest perspective opening up about how there are two sides of the bottle. This is also the first release I have written solely myself and is a song I am extremely proud of.”
